A letter to the Non-aligned Movement' summit
To his Excellency the President of the Non-aligned Movement Summit - Kuala Lumpur
The Arab Baath Socialist party sends you its warmest militant greetings and would like to address through you, and your honorable colleagues, our deepest gratitude and respect for the people of Malaysia and to all the people lining under the banner of your militant and friendly movement, which stood with the resolution against the invasion and the aggression suffered by Iraq in March 2003, at the hands of the US, Britain and their allies, under the pretext of the existence of weapons of mass destruction and the links with terrorism, these lies, exposed to the whole world, led to the occupation of our country and to the destruction of the State infrastructures, the loot of its antiquities, and its riches destabilizing its national unity as a land, as a people and change its national legitimate regime by force... the whole being undertaken in an individual move without any authorization from the Security Council and contradicting every international law and United Nations’ Treaties.
Mr. President,
Please allow us to recall with you the history of our militant Movement. Our nationalist liberation and progressive Party is the first which called for the positive neutrality and for the non-alignment with any socialist or capitalist block, and backed and helped national liberation movements in Asian, African and Latin American Continents to achieve their peoples objectives for independence and peaceful cohabitation, justice, development, civilization progress after the success of its great revolution on the 17th-30th July 1968.
Iraq has participated in 1955 Bandung Meeting and has continued to do so either in the Cairo preparatory Meeting and Barioni in 1965 and had in its time set the necessary arrangements to organize the seventh Non-Aligned Meeting in Baghdad 1982, but the continuation of the Iranian aggression prevented its organization and the Meeting was transferred to New Delhi. In the sixth Havana congress, detained President Saddam Hussein proposed setting a special fund to help the developing countries from oil resources, Iraq taking the lead to face the imported deficit from the industrial world and to alleviate pressures on the peoples’ economics of the Third World countries, already suffering from debts.
Mr. President,
We wish to remind you some of the Movement Summits Resolutions. The 1976 Colombo Fifth Summit Coordination Committee has called for positive steps to back the struggle of the liberation movements, while 1979 Havana Sixth Summit has ascertained the Non-Aligned Movement fundamental principles against every kind of aggression, control, interference or hegemony.
Concerning this very issue, the United Nations General Assembly in a resolution signed in 1965 has ascertained the right of every country to choose the political, social, and cultural system it chooses while another resolution signed by the same Assembly in 1970 prevented any kind of interference and threat against any state's entity or against its political, economical, and cultural components.. The International Court, too, has issued a resolution in 1949, which considered any interference as an incarnation of the policy of force, which led to the gravest consequences.
In the light of these stands, resolutions and decisions, we demand from you - the Movement' Leaders - to freeze Iraq membership which lost its independence due to the US-British bloodthirsty occupation and to its military bases and that the Iraqi government imposed by the Occupation is illegitimate and doesn't represent the Iraqi people, which is resisting the invaders and the occupiers with every single mean, including the Armed legitimate resistance that we call upon you all to support, and to back. with every single material, political and Media mean and to open up offices representing this Resistance in your brotherly and friendly capitals, to achieve the objective of liberation and independence and to rebuild the country faster. There is no most flagrant proof of the Baghdad government puppetry, and contrary to our free people's will, when it insists asking the Occupation forces to stay, squashing people's liberty and committing murder, destruction and torture… and wants to establish democracy (US style) through war jets, helicopters, tanks, depleted uranium, white phosphorous, napalm and every kind of prohibited weapons. Abu Ghraib infamous prison scandal is nothing but an example of the ethical degradation of the US human rights and freedom preachers whose hands are stained with the blood of innocents victims, which are being killed by hundreds of thousands, plus the death squads belonging to the government militias and their secret and horrifying imprisonment camps, the sectarian ethnic cleansing campaigns and the liquidation of all who reject the Occupation.
Mr. President,
The founders of the Non -Aligned Movement such as Abdul Nasser, Tito, Sukarno, Nehru, Nkrumah, Bandaranayike and others, took a glorious stand in the liquidation of colonialism, backing national liberation movements and establishing solidarity among the three continents, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Then came the US to inherit the old colonialist heritage with its cupid character and its corporate voracity. The US loots the riches of the developing countries, which dream of a better tomorrow and a better life without diseases, and wants a ferocious world of exploitation.
Based on the principles of the Non Aligned Movement and its liberation historical stands, we ask you to condemn the invasion of Iraq and its occupation in 2003 and to press on for the withdrawal of foreign troops from its territories, and to return its legitimate authority back, cancel every resolution, and decision imposed by the Occupiers and their stooges, respect the national unity of Iraq and reject every kind of sectarian and racist allotment, the separatist project under whatever pretexts and stop the interference in its internal affairs mainly by Iran and the Zionist entity.
The Iraqi Resistance, Honorable Presidents and Heads of Delegations of the Non Aligned Countries, is the sole and only representative of the people of Iraq, and you are the ones who appreciate the most, this very national role, through your combat struggle and your generous sacrifices, the support of all the freedom loving and all the honorable people on our planet Earth.
We wish your honorable Congress every success to represent the majority of human race, to reject aggression, injustice, and hegemony, which are led by the neo conservatives, tyrannical clique which controls the US White House

Long live Iraq, independent and free!
Victory to Arab and free Palestine.
Long live friendship and solidarity with the non aligned countries peoples.
