Today, we
celebrate the 89th anniversary of the founding of our heroic Army on 6 January
1921. This heroic army has endured each and every struggle and combat against
the forces of colonialism, slavery, reactionary governments and tyrannical
dictatorships. Playing an incomparable role in the revolutions of May 1941, 14th
July 1958, 8th February 1963 and 17-30 July 1968, the Iraqi Army fought every
single Arab war against the Zionist usurper to defend Palestine and the Arab
Land, notably in 1948 and 1967, in the October 1973 war the deeds of the Iraqi
armed forces against the monstrous Zionist entity in the occupied Arab Golan
heights achieved renown and taught the bloodthirsty Zionists lessons they will
never forget.
Our Army gave the best of its officers and soldiers as offerings and sacrifices
to protect Damascus form the perils of conquest, while our heroic Air Force
combat jets roamed over Sinai and protected Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and
every Arab Land.
Honorable
Mujahedeen!
Our Army continued to fulfill its
patriotic duties and its national obligations growing in number and expanding
its formations, improving its equipment and upgrading its armaments. The Iraqi
Army confronted the barbarian Iranian enemy with rare heroism throughout eight
decisive years, enduring the great battles of eastern Basra, of al Shayb,
eastern Tigris and the great battles of liberation to free Al Faw, Majnun, and
Zubaydat, finally achieving the triumph of Iraq and the great Arab Nation on the
8th of August 1988.
In 1991, during the Mother of All Battles confrontation, the Iraqi army fought
the US-led ferocious barbarian assault and bombardment which involved 30 other
states and was described by the debased laughable US thugs, as "preliminary
bombardments" and which lasted 45 whole days.
With the same
high spirit and despite the imbalance of forces and the lack of equipment and
armaments, our heroic Army confronted the US, NATO, Zionist and Persian
aggression launched on the 20th of March 2003 and indeed still does! The heroic
feats of the 45th Division form an epic and legendary tale for the generations
to come on how our Great Army resisted. These heroic stands, the Republican
Guard’s deeds, and the heroism of Saddam’s Fedayeen in the Baghdad Airport
battle drove the enemy mad.
The bloodthirsty US used the latest technology and every manner of destructive
weapon, including tactical nuclear weapons which murder and spare no human life,
kill the flora and the fauna, pollute the environment and destroy ecology for
generations to come. During these battles our heroic Army gave generous
sacrifices and eternal martyrs.
When Iraq was
occupied on the 9th of April 2003, the elite of the heroic Army, high-ranking
officers, ordinary officers and soldiers joined the Resistance factions, defying
the ill-famed Bremer's order to "Disband the Iraqi Army" which followed another
infamous directive to "Uproot the Ba'ath". Indeed, the Iraqi Army and the Ba'ath
are inseparable twins for they incarnate the soul of the Nation and its
capability to renew itself and to come to life from its ashes.
Today! Here they
are, our Army intrepid heroes, continuing their epic combat in the march of the
Mujahid Resistance inflicting the US abject occupiers the greatest of every
historical defeat on the immaculate soil of Iraq.
And here are the
dignified Iraqi men and the loyal Iraqi women remembering today the glorious
deeds of the our heroic Army in the glorious Saddam's Qadissiya, confronting the
Iranian infiltration and interference in Iraq with the complicity of the
US-Iranian double-agent stooges who helped Iran bomb Iraqi villages and towns in
the north and occupy the island of Umm al Rassas, claiming to annex Raas al
Bisha and Khor al Amya harbor, and last but not latest, and who lately have
facilitated the Iranian occupation of the Al Fakkah oil field.
Our heroic army
and our intrepid Resistance shall continue their epic Jihad until the complete
liberation, expelling the US, the Zionists and the Persian Iranian occupiers and
achieving the complete political and economic Independence of Iraq, to again
become a resurgent bastion for the Arab Revolutionary movement towards
liberating Palestine and to continue bearing the banner of human Renaissance and
civilization.
Eternal glory for
the martyrs of our heroic Army, the martyrs of the Ba'ath and the Resistance,
the martyrs of Iraq and the Nation and in particular, the father of martyrs, the
great Hajj, the commander of the second Arab Qadissiya Saddam Hussein, may he
rest in peace in the Lord's bosom.
God is the
greatest!
Debased are the ferocious US occupiers and their allies the Zionists and the
Iranians!
Triumph
forever for Iraq and for the Arab nation and for the immortal message of our
nation!
