He Led His Nation Into A Quagmire
President Bush has realized that he has led his nation into a quagmire in Iraq. American young soldiers are coming home in plastic bags every day. The Iraqi people did not welcome the Americans with music, fanfare and roses but with bullets and fierce resistance. His involvement in Iraq might cost him the Presidency in 2004.
To save himself for another term he is trying desperately to recruit other nations to help him and to assist his Imperialist Anglo Saxon forces to legitimize US occupation and colonization of Iraq. He is maneuvering again to dupe the World to believe that he is bringing "liberation and democracy" to the Iraqis. Most likely the Security Council will agree to his schemes if the rest of the big five were allowed to get some share of the spoils.
President Select George W. Bush is in deep trouble, for this reason he decided to seek help from the United Nations, which he despised, threatened and challenged for disagreeing with him on the Iraqi issue. He wants the World Organization to help him, but he refuses to transfer power to the United Nations, to end the occupation of Iraq. He wants the international forces to be under his command, to continue the dirty job for him and for Halliburton, its subsidiaries and others.
The United States and its allies violated the UN Charter and its Laws. Washington and London went to war and occupied Iraq against the will of the International body. Instead of standing against the aggression the Security Council tolerated it and covertly blessed it.
The Actions of the United Nations through the years were not fair towards the East and especially towards the Arabs. The World Organization does not represent the principles it was founded upon any more. It represents the interests of the big powers, while Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia, except for China, have no say.
The countries that might contribute troops to assist the aggressors in Iraq would be committing a grave mistake; they would be trapped in the quagmire that Washington created. They would be creating a new Vietnam that might engulf the whole Middle East and endanger World Security and peace. Their sons and daughters would be dying for the US giant corporations, their children would be the fuel, while Halliburton, its partners and supporters who are the masters of aggression would reap the spoils of war.
